M-191 Women Deliver Month

Motion Text
That the House call on the government to: (a) reaffirm its commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls, and to Canada's Feminist International Assistance Policy; (b) recognize that a society is more peaceful, more inclusive and more prosperous when women and girls are valued, included, and empowered in their communities; and (c) officially designate June 2019 as Women Deliver Month, in recognition of the Women Deliver conference to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, that same month, and which will be attended by world leaders, activists, advocates, and academics from around the globe.
