ORDER OF REFERENCE

Extract from the Journals of the House of Commons of Thursday, March 20, 1997:

Pursuant to Order made earlier today, the House proceeded to the taking of the deferred recorded division on the motion of Mr. Martin (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mr. Anderson (Minister of Transport),--That Bill C-82, An Act to amend certain laws relating to financial institutions, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Finance.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following division:
