Extract from the Journals of the House of Commons of Monday, October 23, 1995:

At 5:30 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 45, the House proceeded to the taking of the deferred recorded division on the motion of Mr. Rock (Minister of Justice), seconded by Mr. Manley (Minister of Industry),--That Bill C-106, An Act respecting the Law Commission of Canada, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on division.

Accordingly, the Bill was read the second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs.
