- Conversion “therapy” is not a form of therapy in any way;
- This act causes direct, permanent, and serious harm to the victim;
- Conversion “therapy” is the systematic removal of an individual’s identity that targets an entire minority group for erasure;
- Bill C-6 is an attempt to end this cruel form of misguided treatment;
- 63 members of Parliament (MPs) voted against Bill C-6 at third reading;
- There is a lack of knowledge, awareness and sensitivity to the needs and rights of the 2SLGBTQ+ individuals; and
- All MPs should provide equal representation to constituents, including 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.
