Petition to the Government of Canada
- The cigar industry does not target young consumers;
- Artisanal cigar packaging is not designed to mislead consumers of the health hazards of using tobacco products;
- Many small Canadian businesses that depend on premium cigar sales would be at risk of closing; and
- Most European countries who have adopted Plain and Standardized Packaging have exempted cigars from their regulation such as the United Kingdom, France, Belgium and Norway.
