Petition to the House of Commons in Parliament assembled
- In 2014, the Russian Federation initiated the Russia-Ukraine War by invading Crimea, annexing Crimea from Ukraine, and supporting separatist attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk against Ukraine;
- On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation escalated the Russia-Ukraine War by launching a wide-scale invasion of Ukraine;
- The Russian Federation's military aggression in Ukraine is a violation of international law;
- The official language of Ukraine is Ukrainian, and the Ukrainian word for “vodka” is “horilka”; and
- Permitting distillers and vendors selling vodka in Canada to label their bottles with the Ukrainian word "horilka" instead of requiring them to use the Russian word "vodka” will raise awareness about the Russian Federation’s military aggression in Ukraine.
