Petition to the House of Commons in Parliament assembled
- Our front-line health care workers provide an essential service in combatting the global pandemic and must continue to provide health care to all those infected with COVID-19;
- The pandemic poses a serious, mortal risk to all front-line health care workers;
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is absolutely essential to preventing the spread of the virus to front-line health care workers;
- Front-line health care workers should always have access to the safest PPE when they need it, especially in uncertain or dangerous environments, and never have to compromise their safety based on a supply shortage;
- There have been reports that suggest that critical PPE supplies have been running low and will soon run out – this includes things like masks, face shields, goggles, gloves, and gowns; and
- A shortage of PPE is dangerous not only for the front-line health care workers but also for their families and the wider public.
