Petition to the Government of Canada
- Emotional support animals are a reasonable accommodation for a person with a psychiatric disability in regards to housing;
- Emotion support animals can alleviate symptoms or effect of severe emotional conditions, such as chronic anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic attacks, fear or phobias, and other emotional and psychological conditions; and
- The United States of America currently has legislation for emotional support animals in their Fair Housing Act (FHC).
