Petition to the House of Commons

We, the undersigned, citizens and residents of Canada, draw the attention of the House of Commons to the following:

Whereas:

Hong Kong Canadians from across the country have received threatening messages that include their personal information such as the name of their family, the name of their workplace, and their living address, etc., which they have reported to CSIS and RCMP with no charges laid; and

China's intimidation is a serious and known issue in Canada that disproportionately affects immigrant communities.

Therefore we, the undersigned, citizens and residents of Canada, call on the Government of Canada to:

1. Call a fully independent public inquiry into foreign interference; and

2. Empower the RCMP to counter intimidation by foreign agents by setting up a reporting hotline.
