Petition to the Government of Canada
- The current living conditions for the Ishtai family are very difficult, especially for the three young children;
- Hundreds of residents, five schools and one organization that specializes in immigrant integration services have all come together to sponsor a Syrian refugee family in the Assomption RCM;
- Our group is ready to welcome, guide and support the Ishtai family as soon as it arrives in Canada (having raised nearly $30,000 in less than one year); and
- Administrative delays are getting longer and longer, leading to disappointment and a loss of confidence not only within the community, but also within the Ishtai family.
