Petition to the Government of Canada
- The Government has regularly acknowledged that climate change is the most pressing issue of the day;
- The Government has committed to achieving net zero by 2050;
- Canadians depend on the Government to make decisions that are in the best interest of the environment and future generations;
- The proposed project is likely to result in adverse environmental effects to wetlands, old-growth forests, old-growth reliant species and Canada's biodiversity; and
- The proposed project is likely to have dire effects to Indigenous groups, their land and culture.
