Motion No. 1 — October 17, 2023 — The Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship — That Bill S-245 be amended by deleting the Clause 1.2 that reads as follows:	Motion no 1 — 17 octobre 2023 — Le ministre de l’Immigration, des Réfugiés et de la Citoyenneté — Que le projet de loi S-245 soit modifié par suppression de l’article 1.2 ayant le libellé suivant :
“1.2 Paragraph 5.1(4)(a) of the Act is replaced by the following:	« 1.2 L’alinéa 5.1(4)a) de la même loi est remplacé par ce qui suit :
(a) if, at the time of his or her adoption, only one of the adoptive parents was a citizen and that parent was a citizen under paragraph 3(1)(b), (c.1), (e), (g), (g.1), (h), (o), (p), (q) or (r), or both of the adoptive parents were citizens under any of those paragraphs;”.	a) au moment de l’adoption, seul le père adoptif ou la mère adoptive avait qualité de citoyen, et ce, au titre des alinéas 3(1)b), c.1), e), g), g.1), h), o), p), q) ou r), ou les deux parents adoptifs avaient cette qualité au titre de l’un de ces alinéas; ».

Motion No. 2 — October 17, 2023 — The Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship — That Bill S-245, in Clause 1, be amended by	Motion no 2 — 17 octobre 2023 — Le ministre de l’Immigration, des Réfugiés et de la Citoyenneté — Que le projet de loi S-245, à l’article 1, soit modifié :
(a) deleting the first subclause (2.1);	a) par suppression du premier paragraphe (2.1);
(b) replacing, in the second subclause (2.1), the words “(2.1) Paragraph 3(3)(a) of the Act is replaced by the following:” with the following:	b) par substitution, au deuxième paragraphe (2.1), aux mots « (2.1) L’alinéa 3(3)a) de la même loi est remplacé par ce qui suit : » de ce qui suit :
(2.1) The portion of subsection 3(3) of the Act before paragraph (a.1) is replaced by the following:	(2.1) Le passage du paragraphe 3(3) de la même loi précédant l’alinéa a.1) est remplacé par ce qui suit :
(3) Paragraphs (1)(b), (f), (g), (h) to (j), (q) and (r) do not apply to a person born outside Canada	(3) Les alinéas (1)b), f), g), h) à j), q) et r) ne s’appliquent pas à la personne née à l’étranger dont, selon le cas :
(c) replacing, in subparagraph 3(3)(a.01)(ii) that is set out in the second subclause (2.1), in the French version, the word “manifestes” with the word “substantiels”.	c) par substitution, dans la version française, au sous-alinéa 3(3)a.01)(ii) qui figure au deuxième paragraphe (2.1), au mot « manifestes » du mot « substantiels ».
