The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology launches a study on fraud calls

Ottawa, March 04, 2020 -

On 20 February 2020, the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology (the Committee) adopted a motion to study the influx of fraud calls in Canada, including robocalls, ghost calls, and spam calls. The Committee will also examine the successes and failures of the National Do-Not-Call List, and the STIR/SHAKEN measures that will be implemented in September 2020.

To support this work, the Committee asks Canadians to submit a brief. Briefs must not exceed 1,000 words and must be sent not later than Friday 13 March 2020 to:INDU@parl.gc.ca.
