Michelle Rempel Garner gave notice of the following motion:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology invite representatives from the Competition Bureau as well as Amazon.ca, to appear regarding reports of anti-competitive behaviour on the part of Amazon.
Jeremy Patzer moved, — That, as part of its study on the Canadian Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology invite Daniel Therrien, Privacy Commissioner of Canada, to testify regarding the development and ongoing operation of the recently released contact tracing application.
Debate arose thereon.
Nathaniel Erskine-Smith moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “contact tracing" with the words "exposure notification".
