Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, April 21, 2016, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-242, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (inflicting torture).

Michael Spratt made a statement and answered questions.

At 12:10 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:16 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $3,700, for the study of Bill C-242, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (inflicting torture), be adopted.

At 12:29 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
