The Subcommittee on International Human Rights to hold a hearing on the persecution of Ahmadis in Indonesia and Pakistan

Ottawa, March 25, 2011 -

On 24 March 2011, the Subcommittee Committee on International Human Rights of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development unanimously adopted the following motion which was moved by the Subcommittee’s Vice-Chairman, Mario Silva:

Be it Resolved:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Subcommittee hold a hearing and invite representatives of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Canada to make a submission on persecution of religious minorities in Indonesia and Pakistan.
