M-283 — March 9, 2009 — Resuming consideration of the motion of Mr. Patry (Pierrefonds—Dollard), seconded by Mr. Scarpaleggia (Lac-Saint-Louis), — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should act immediately to implement the measures of the Advisory Group report "National Roundtables on Corporate Social Responsibility and the Canadian Extractive Industry in Developing Countries" by creating, in an appropriate legal framework and with the funds needed, an independent ombudsman office with the power to receive and investigate complaints.
