M-394 — November 8, 2007 — Mr. Dewar (Ottawa Centre) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should show its solidarity with the Burmese democratic movement by: (a) invoking the Special Economic Measures Act to prohibit persons and corporations in Canada or Canadians outside Canada (i) from dealing in property of Myanmar, (ii) from exporting, selling or shipping goods to Myanmar, (iii) from transferring technical data to Myanmar, (iv) from importing or acquiring goods from Myanmar, (v) from providing or acquiring any financial or other services to or from Myanmar; and (b) prohibiting vessels flying the Myanmar flag from coming to Canada unless in case of emergency. M-394 — 8 novembre 2007 — M.
