MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment met at 3:29 o’clock p.m., this day, in Room 705, Promenade Building, the Chair, Bob Speller, presiding. In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Daniel Dupras, Research Officer Witnesses: From Foreign Affairs And International Trade: Jonathan Fried, Assistant Deputy Minister, Trade and Economic Policy, Claude Carrière, Director, Tariffs and Market Access Division. Pursuant to its Order of Reference from the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade (See Minutes of Proceedings of February 26, 1998 – Meeting No. 35), the Sub-Committee commenced its study on future negotiations of the World Trade International Organization. Jonathan Fried made an opening statement and with the other witness answered questions. At 4:50 o’clock p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair. |
