WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 1997
The Sub-Committee on Human Rights and International Development of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:38 o’clock p.m., this day, in room 308, West Block, Jean Augustine, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Jean Augustine, Paul Bonwick, Claudette Bradshaw, Maud Debien, Diane St-Jacques, Svend Robinson.
Other Member present: Bob Mills
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Patricia Bégin, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Missing Children Society of Canada: Barbara Snider, Case Director, Eastern Canada. From The Missing Children’s Network: Susan Armstrong, Executive Director and Patrick Bergeron, Director of Search. From International Social Service Canada: Agnes Casselman, Executive Director.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Sub-Committee continued to examine the issue of International Child Abductions.
Barbara Snider, Susan Armstrong and Agnes Casselman each made statements and, with Patrick Bergeron, answered questions.
At 5:12 o’clock p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
