The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 3:44 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Albina Guarnieri, presiding.

Member(s) of the Committee present: Bonnie Brown, Albina Guarnieri, Larry McCormick, The Hon. Andy Scott, Maurice Vellacott, Bryon Wilfert.

Acting Member(s) present: Jocelyne Girard-Bujold for Bernard Bigras.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Sandra Harder and Kevin Kerr, Research Officers.

Witness(es): From the Statistics Canada: Mike Sheridan, Director General, Labour and Household Surveys; Deborah Sunter, Manager, Labour Force Survey.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), a study on " Older Workers"

Deborah Sunter made as statement and with the other witness answered questions.

At 3:59 the sitting was suspended.

At 4:35 the sitting resumed and Bryon Wilfert took the Chair as Acting Chairman.

At 5:39 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
