M-92 Human trafficking

Motion Text

That, in the opinion of the House, the government should immediately introduce comprehensive legislation, regulations and policies to address human trafficking, including child trafficking, in both its international and domestic manifestations and that such measures should include: (a) establishing a special investigation task force linked to provincial, federal and international agencies involved in preventing and prosecuting human trafficking, with a mandate to investigate, track and prosecute traffickers and locate the victims of trafficking; and (b) ensuring high quality and comprehensive support services to victims of human trafficking by locating victims, providing culturally competent services, and establishing coordinated reintegration services and programs for those who have been trafficked.
