Ottawa, May 31, 2024 -

PARLIAMENT HILL – The Auditor General of Canada found in a 2022 performance audit that although the Government of Canada was able to obtain sufficient quantities of COVID-19 vaccines. However, there were deficiencies in how it administered vaccine management.

A report of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, presented today in the House of Commons by Committee Chairman John Williamson, makes 11 recommendations to ensure that the Auditor General’s recommendations are adequately addressed, and that the federal government provide evidence of this to the Committee through progress reports.
