Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee commenced its study of adequacy of compensation for pain and suffering.

Joanne Kimm made a statement and answered questions.

At 12:27 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:35 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, March 9, 2023, the committee resumed its study of transition to civilian life.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Reforming Transition from Military to Civilian Life".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 12:43 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
