The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 3:29 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Diane Ablonczy, Denis Blanchette, Hon. Gerry Byrne, Hon. Ron Cannan, Anne-Marie Day, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, Ed Komarnicki, Pat Martin, Hon. Gordon O'Connor, Bernard Trottier and Dave Van Kesteren.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: André Léonard, Analyst ; Lindsay McGlashan, Analyst.

Witnesses: Department of Public Works and Government Services: Pablo Sobrino, Associate Assistant Deputy Minister, Acquisitions Branch; Desmond Gray, Acting Director General, Services and Specialized Acquisitions Management Sector. Public Service Commission of Canada: Anne-Marie Robinson, President; Hélène Laurendeau, Senior Vice-President, Policy Branch; Jacqueline Bogden, Vice-President, Audit and Data Services Branch; Gerry Thom, Vice-President, Staffing and Assessment Services.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c)(i) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 7, 2013, the Committee commenced its study of the mandate and activities of the Build in Canada Innovation Program.

Pablo Sobrino made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 4:27 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:31 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Public Service Commission's 2012-13 Annual Report and Various Audit Reports Produced in 2012-13, referred to the Committee on Wednesday, November 6, 2013.

Anne-Marie Robinson made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 5:29 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
