The Standing Committee on Official Languages met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 7-52, 131 Queen Street, the Chair, the Hon. Michael D. Chong, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Corneliu Chisu, Hon. Michael D. Chong, Joe Daniel, Anne-Marie Day, Jacques Gourde, Claude Gravelle, Jamie Nicholls, Lise St-Denis and John Williamson.

Acting Members present: Dan Albas for Chungsen Leung and Costas Menegakis for Chungsen Leung.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Chloé Forget, Analyst ; Lucie Lecomte, Analyst.

Witnesses: Réseau de développement économique et d'employabilité (RDÉE) Canada: Roukya Abdi Aden, Administrator, National Cooperation. Réseau de développement économique et d'employabilité (RDÉE) Ontario: Daniel Sigouin, Director General. Fédération des communautés francophones et acadiennes du Canada: Suzanne Bossé, Executive Director; Marie-France Kenny, President. City of Moncton: Jacques Dubé, City Manager. Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, the Committee resumed its study of the Government of Canada programs designed to promote francophone immigration into Canada's official-language minority communities (OLMCs).

Roukya Abdi Aden, Daniel Sigouin, Andrée-Anne Martel, Sonia Ouellet, Jacques Dubé and Marie-France Kenny made statements and, with Suzanne Bossé, answered questions.

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
