The Standing Committee on Health met in camera at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Ben Lobb, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Ben Lobb, Cathy McLeod, Christine Moore, Murray Rankin, Lawrence Toet, David Wilks and Terence Young.

 

Acting Members present: Harold Albrecht for Wladyslaw Lizon, Hon. Carolyn Bennett for Hon. Hedy Fry and Isabelle Morin for Matthew Kellway.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Havi Echenberg, Analyst; Marlisa Tiedemann, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, the Committee resumed its study of Health Canada Safety Code 6.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $9,500.00, for the study of lung cancer in Canada be adopted.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, the Committee resumed its study of Health Canada Safety Code 6.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted, providing that any significant error in translation indicated by members before end of business Friday, June 12, is corrected before its presentation to the House.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation and the health of Canadians".

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

At 5:26 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
