The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met by teleconference at 6:30 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N Centre Block, the Chair, Royal Galipeau, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Sylvain Chicoine, Royal Galipeau, Bryan Hayes, Pierre Lemieux, Wladyslaw Lizon, Ted Opitz and Frank Valeriote.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Ron Cannan for Hon. Laurie Hawn, Christine Moore for Peter Stoffer and Marc-André Morin for John Rafferty.

 

Other Members present: Hon. Erin O'Toole.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Isabelle Lafontaine-Émond, Analyst; Jean-Rodrigue Paré, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, May 14, 2015, the Committee resumed its study of the subject matter of Division 17 of Part 3 of Bill C-59, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 21, 2015 and other measures.
 

Bradley K. White, Wayne Mac Culloch and Debbie Lowther made statements and, with Ray McInnis, answered questions.

 

At 7:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 7:37 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Derryk Fleming, by teleconference from St Catharines, Ontario, Sean Bruyea, Michael L. Blais, Perry Gray and Brian Mckenna made statements and answered questions.

 

At 8:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
