The Standing Committee on Public Accounts met in camera at 11:03 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, David Christopherson, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Jay Aspin, David Christopherson, Earl Dreeshen, Alain Giguère, Bryan Hayes, Daryl Kramp, Mathieu Ravignat, Andrew Saxton, Bev Shipley and Brian Storseth.

Acting Members present: Costas Menegakis for Brian Storseth, Ted Opitz for Bev Shipley, Ève Péclet for Lysane Blanchette-Lamothe and Hon. Geoff Regan for Hon. Gerry Byrne.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Lindsay McGlashan, Analyst ; Alex Smith, Analyst.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 11:23 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:10 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee resumed consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, and subject to witness availability, the Committee schedule hearings on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 and Thursday November 29, 2012, with respect to the studies of

• Chapter 5, Oversight of Civil Aviation—Transport Canada, of the Spring 2012 Report of the Auditor General of Canada

• Chapter 6, Special Examinations of Crown Corporations-2011, of the Spring 2012 Report of the Auditor General of Canada; and

That, with respect to the study of Chapter 6, the Committee study two of the special examination reports, for one hour each.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, the Committee approve the draft news release in relation to its report on Chapter 1, Canada’s Economic Action Plan, of the Fall 2011 Report of the Auditor General of Canada.

At 12:59 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
