The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in camera at 11:04 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Pat Martin, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Dan Albas, Jay Aspin, Denis Blanchette, Kelly Block, Peter Braid, Hon. Ron Cannan, Linda Duncan, Pat Martin, Hon. John McCallum, Mathieu Ravignat and Bernard Trottier.

 

Acting Members present: Mike Wallace for Kelly Block.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Lindsay McGlashan, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c)(iv) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, September 27, 2012, the Committee resumed its study of energy efficiency in government buildings, structures and public works.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

At 11:50 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), the sitting was suspended.

At 12:35 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee continue to sit after 1:00 p.m.

 

At 1:03 p.m., Peter Braid took the Chair.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "‘Powering’ The Future of Federal Buildings: Energy Efficiency as a Goal".

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report a dissenting or supplementary opinion from the New Democratic Party, provided that it is no more than four (4) pages in length, Arial 12 point font, line spacing of one, and submitted electronically to the clerk of the Committee, no later than Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in both official languages.

 

It was agreed, — That the meeting of Thursday, June 13, be cancelled.

 

At 1:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
