The Subcommittee on Neurological Disease of the Standing Committee on Health met in camera at 10:56 a.m. this day, in Room 208, West Block, the Chair, Joy Smith, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: Patrick Brown, Kirsty Duncan, Megan Anissa Leslie and Joy Smith.

 

Acting Members present: Nicolas Dufour for Luc Malo.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Marie Chia; Karin Phillips.

 
The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.
 

It was agreed, — That all witness suggestions must be received by the Clerk at least five (5) days prior to the intended subcommittee meeting.

 

It was agreed, — That on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, the Subcommittee hear from Dr. Sandy McDonald, one of his patients and Dr. Mark Haacke in relation to its study on neurological diseases.

 

It was agreed, — That on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, the Subcommittee hear from Dr. Paolo Zamboni, Dr. Robert Maggisano and Dr. Marian Simka in relation to its study on neurological diseases.

 

It was agreed, — That on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, and on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, the Subcommittee meeting be devoted to Amyothrophic Lateral Sclerosis in relation to its study on neurological diseases.

 

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee meetings in October be devoted to Parkinsons Disease in relation to its study on Neurological Diseases.

 

At 11:27 a.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
