The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 11:06 a.m. this day, in Room 8-53, 131 Queen St., the Chair, Candice Hoeppner, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Josée Beaudin, Kelly Block, Hon. Rick Casson, Raymonde Folco, Candice Hoeppner, Ed Komarnicki, Yves Lessard, Michael John Savage, Maurice Vellacott and Jeff Watson.

Acting Members present: Olivia Chow for Tony Martin and Sukh Dhaliwal for Hon. Maria Minna.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: André Léonard, Analyst ; Chantal Collin, Analyst . House of Commons: Christine Holke David, Procedural Clerk.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 11, 900, for the study of procedures and practices of the Employment Insurance Board of Referees be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, October 7, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of the impact of cancelling the long form census.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 11:44 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:50 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 12:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
