The Standing Committee on Finance met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Robert Carrier, Bernard Généreux, Russ Hiebert, Hon. John McCallum, Hon. John McKay, Ted Menzies, Thomas J. Mulcair, Massimo Pacetti, Daniel Paillé, James Rajotte and Mike Wallace.

Witnesses: Air Transport Association of Canada: John McKenna, President and Chief Executive Officer; Michael Skrobica, Vice-President, Industry Monetary Affairs. Retail Council of Canada: Diane J. Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Monday, April 19, 2010, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-9, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 4, 2010 and other measures.

John McKenna, Diane J. Brisebois, Terrance Oakey, David F. Goldstein, Susan Margles, Hassan Yussuff, Bob Elliott and Barry Sikora made statements and, with Michael Skrobica and Christopher Jones, answered questions.

At 5:08 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
