The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Yasmin Ratansi, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Diane Bourgeois, Patrick Brown, Judy Foote, Jacques Gourde, Martha Hall Findlay, Ed Holder, Richard Nadeau, Yasmin Ratansi and Chris Warkentin.

 

Acting Members present: Alexandra Mendes for Judy Foote.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Sylvain Fleury, Analyst; Philippe Le Goff, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Treasury Board Secretariat: Corinne Charette, Chief Information Officer; Valerie Wutti, Executive Director, Information Technology (IT) Project Review and Oversight, Chief Information Officer Branch. Department of Public Works and Government Services: Renée Jolicoeur, Assistant Deputy Minister, Accounting, Banking and Compensation Branch; Alex Lakroni, Acting Chief Financial Officer; John McBain, Acting Assistant Deputy Minister, Real Property Branch; Christine Payant, Director General, Product Management, Information Technology Services Branch; John Rath-Wilson, Chief Operating Officer, Information Technology Services Branch.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, October 8, 2009, the Committee resumed its study of large information technology projects.
 

Corinne Charette made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 4:38 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:42 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee resumed consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2009-2010: Votes 1b, 5b and 7b under PUBLIC WORKS AND GOVERNMENT SERVICES referred to the Committee on Wednesday, November 4, 2009.
 

Alex Lakroni made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 5:33 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
