The Standing Committee on the Status of Women met at 11:06 a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Vice-Chair, Patricia Davidson, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Sylvie Boucher, Patricia Davidson, Nicole Demers, Luc Desnoyers, Hon. Hedy Fry, Candice Hoeppner, Irene Mathyssen, Cathy McLeod, Hon. Anita Neville, Tilly O'Neill-Gordon and Lise Zarac.

 

Acting Members present: Claude Guimond for Nicole Demers.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Julie Cool, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Treasury Board Secretariat: Hélène Laurendeau, Assistant Deputy Minister, Compensation and Labour Relations; Dan Danagher, Executive Director, Labour Relations and Compensation Operations.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of the Public Sector Equitable Compensation Act.
 

Hélène Laurendeau made a statement and, with Dan Danagher, answered questions.

 

At 11:23 a.m. the Hon. Hedy Fry took the Chair.

 

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:07 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

Luc Desnoyers moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(1)(a), the Committee requests that the Treasury Board Secretariat and the Privy Council produce all documents and analyses, that are accessible by standing committees, that the Auditor General of Canada used or could have used in the preparation of its study on “Gender-Based Analysis”.

 

The question was put on the motion and the results of the vote was announced: YEAS: 5; NAYS: 5.

Whereupon, the Chair voted in the affirmative.

Accordingly, the motion was agreed to.

 

At 12:24 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:24 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of the Public Sector Equitable Compensation Act.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 

At 12:59 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
