The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met by videoconference at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room 214, Wellington Building, the Chair, David Sweet, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Guy André, Scott Andrews, Rob Clarke, Judy Foote, Roger Gaudet, Greg Kerr, Ben Lobb, Phil McColeman, Tilly O'Neill-Gordon, Hon. Judy Sgro, Peter Stoffer and David Sweet.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: United States Department of Veterans Affairs: Ann Patterson, Acting Chief of Staff to the Under Secretary for Health, Veterans Health Administration; Leigh Ann Skeens, Executive Assistant to the Deputy Under Secretary for Benefits, Veterans Benefits Administration.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on February 9, 2009, the Committee resumed its study of Comparison Study of Veterans Services Offered by Members of the Commonwealth and the G8.
 

Leigh Ann Skeens made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 4:33 p.m., the Committee proceeded to sit in camera.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

At 4:40 p.m., the Committee resumed sitting in public.

 

On motion of Greg Kerr, it was agreed, — That the Committee travel to Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue on April 1, as planned.

 
The Committee resumed its study of Comparison Study of Veterans Services Offered by Members of the Commonwealth and the G8.
 

Ann Patterson made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 5:27 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
