The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met in camera at 9:07 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Gary Schellenberger, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Jim Abbott, Charlie Angus, Diane Bourgeois, Gord Brown, Ed Fast, Maka Kotto, Francis Scarpaleggia, Gary Schellenberger, Hon. Andy Scott and Chris Warkentin.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Mauril Bélanger for Hon. Hedy Fry and Yasmin Ratansi for Tina Keeper.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Joseph Jackson, Principal; Marion Ménard, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order108(2), the Committee resumed its full investigation of the role of a public broadcaster in the 21st century
 

The participants with members of the Committee exchanged points of view of the role of a public broadcaster in the 21st century.

 

At 11:49 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:57 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

At 12:39 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
