The Clerk of the Subcommittee: I see a quorum.
Your first item of business is to elect a chair, so I am ready to receive motions to that effect.
Ms. Brown.
Ms. Bonnie Brown (Oakville, Lib.): I move that Judi Longfield be elected chair of the committee.
The Clerk: Ms. Brown nominates Mrs. Longfield. Are there other nominations?
(Motion agreed to)
The Clerk: Your next item of business is to elect a vice-chair. I am ready to receive motions to that effect.
Mr. Roy Cullen (Etobicoke North, Lib.): I move that Bonnie Brown be elected vice-chair of the committee.
The Clerk: Ms. Brown is nominated for vice-chair. Are there other nominations?
(Motion agreed to)
The Clerk: I therefore invite Ms. Longfield now to take the chair.
The Chair (Mrs. Judi Longfield (Whitby—Ajax, Lib.)): I already hear, Bonnie, that they're happy with two women. I think they're expecting that we'll look favourably upon their submissions.
Now we'll move to the in camera section. I'm just going to suspend for a moment.
