The Standing Committee on Official Languages met at 3:35 p.m. this day, in Room 371 West Block, the Chair, the Honourable Don Boudria, presiding. |
Members of the Committee present: Hon. Don Boudria, Yvon Godin, Christian Jobin, James Lunney, Scott Reid, Benoît Sauvageau, Raymond Simard and Yolande Thibeault. |
In attendance: Library of Parliament: Marion Ménard, Analyst. |
Witnesses: Fédération des associations de juristes d'expression française de common law: Tory Colvin, President; Rénald Rémillard, Executive Director. |
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f), the Committee resumed consideration of the study on the nominations of the judges appointed by the federal gouvernment and the matter of bilinguism and linguistic duality. |
Tory Colvin made a statement and, the other witness, answered questions. |
At 4:39 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair. |
