The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food met at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Paul Steckle, presiding.

Hilstrom, John Maloney, Dick Proctor, Bob Speller, Paul Steckle and Rose-Marie
Ur.
Acting Member present: Bernard Bigras for Louis Plamondon.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean-Denis Fréchette, Analyst.
Witnesses: From the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food: Mary Komarynsky, Director General, Adaptation & Financial Guarantee Programs. From the Pest Management Regulatory Agency: Janice Hopkins, Director, Alternative Strategies and Regulatory Affairs Division; Imme Gerke, Minor Use Advisor.
Pursuant to the Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of the Government Response to the Third Report of the Committee (Registration of Pesticides and the Competitiveness of Canadian Farmers) of the First Session, 37th Parliament.
Mary Komarynsky and Janice Hopkins made opening statements and, with Imme Gerke, answered questions.
At 12:53 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
