Tuesday, May 15, 2001
The Standing Committee on Transport and Government Operations met in camera at 11:01 a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Acting Chair, Marcel Proulx presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Larry Bagnell, Bev Desjarlais, Brian Fitzpatrick, Mario Laframboise, Ghislain Lebel, Dominic LeBlanc, Marcel Proulx, Alex Shepherd, Brent St. Denis, Paul Szabo, Tony Tirabassi.
Acting Members present: David Price for Ovid Jackson and Gary Pillitteri for Serge Marcil.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: John Christopher; June Dewetering and Grant Purves, researchers.
In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 108(2) the Committee began consideration of its future business.
It was agreed: - That notwithstanding the motion passed by the Committee on May 1, 2001, the Committee sit on May 17th, 2001 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. to hear the Minister of Transport on the 2001-2002 Main Estimates of the Department of Transport.
It was agreed: - That the Committee hear from the Department of Transport and Witnesses on S-3 on May 29th and May 31st.
At 11:48 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
