Tuesday, April 3, 2001
The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met at 9:10 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Mauril Bélanger, Pierre Brien, John Cannis, Bev Desjarlais, Marlene Jennings, Walt Lastewka, James Rajotte and Susan Whelan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Geoffrey P. Kieley and Dan Shaw, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From Canada Foundation for Innovation: Dr. David W. Strangway, President and Chief Executive Officer; Manon Harvey, Vice-President, Finance; Carmen Charette, Senior Vice-President.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), consideration of the Science and Technology Policies.
Dr. David W. Strangway made an opening statement and, with Manon Harvey and Carmen Charette answered questions.
At 10:45 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
