Ottawa, July 20, 2001 - The House of Commons Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage wishes to remind interested stakeholders that the deadline for the submission of briefs for the Committee’s study of the Broadcasting Act is August 15, 2001. This deadline, announced earlier, has been chosen with a view to allowing Committee Members and Staff the opportunity to analyze submissions in a comprehensive manner prior to the start of hearings. Stakeholders are assured their briefs will not be made public prior to their appearance before the Committee.
