The Standing Committee on Industry met at 9:10 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Pierre Brien, John Cannis, Marlene Jennings, Walt Lastewka, Gurbax Malhi, Dan McTeague, Charlie Penson, Jerry Pickard and Susan Whelan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw and Geoffrey Kieley, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Department of Industry: Serge Croteau, Director General, Programs and Services; Robert Dunlop, Director General, Small Business Policy Branch; Peter Webber, Manager, Small Business Financing Policy. From Statistics Canada: Albert Meguerditchian, Director General, Prices International Trade and Finance Statistics; Jamie Brunet, Project Chief, Small Business and Special Surveys; Ed Hamilton, Project Chief, Industrial Organization and Finance Division.
