The Standing Committee on Industry met at 9:09 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Vice-Chair, Walt Lastewka, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: John Cannis, Antoine Dubé, Marlene Jennings, Walt Lastewka, Gurbax Malhi, Dan McTeague, Charlie Penson and Susan Whelan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw and Geoffrey Kieley, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the University of Toronto: Michael Trebilcock, Professor; Ralph Winter, Professor. From Charles River Associates Canada Limited: Margaret F. Sanderson, Vice-President. From Davis and Company: Stanley Wong.
Pursuant to the Committee's mandate under Standing Order 108(2), a Review of the Competition Act.
Ralph Winter made a statement and answered questions.
Michael Trebilcock made a statement and answered questions.
At 10:28 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
