The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in a televised session at 11:15 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.
Member(s) of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Bonnie Brown, Libby Davies, Jean Dubé, Raymonde Folco, Christiane Gagnon, Judi Longfield, Larry McCormick, Rey Pagtakhan and Maurice Vellacott.
Acting Member(s) present: Benoit Sauvageau for Paul Crête.
Other Member(s) present: John Bryden.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Kevin Kerr, Julie McKenzie and Bill Young, Research Officers.
Witness(es): From the Association of Public Service Financial Administrators: Merdon Hosking, President; Greg Gauthier, Director, Labour Relations and Negotiations. Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), study of HRDC Grants and Contributions.
Merdon Hosking, Jeannette Meunier-McKay and Cres Pascucci made a statement and with the other witnesses answered questions.
At 12:58, the sitting was suspended.
At 13:01, the Committee proceeded to sit in-camera to discuss its future business.
At 13:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
