The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development met in a televised session at 9:06 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Sue Barnes, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Sue Barnes, Ray Bonin, Paul DeVillers, John Finlay, Ghislain Fournier, Ivan Grose, David Iftody, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Gerald Keddy, Derrek Konrad, John O'Reilly, Mike Scott, Guy St-Julien.
Acting Member present: Libby Davies for Louise Hardy.
Other Member present: Svend Robinson.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Mary Hurley; Tonina Simeone, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Nisga'a Tribal Council: Dr. Joseph Gosnell, President; Edmond Wright, Secretary-Treasurer; Nelson Leeson, Executive Chairman; Harry Nyce, Senior Resources Negotiator; James Aldridge, Legal Counsel.
The Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-9, An Act to give effect to the Nisga'a Final Agreement. (See Minutes of Proceeding dated Wednesday, November 3, 1999, Meeting No. 3)

At 11:50 o'clock a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:55 o'clock a.m., the sitting resumed in camera, by unanimous consent, to discuss future business.
At 12:07 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
