The Sub-Committee on Tax Equity for Canadian Families with Dependent Children of the Standing Committee on Finance met at 9:02 a.m. this day, in Admiral's Ballroom, Calgary Airport Hotel, Calgary, the Chair, Nick Discepola, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Serge Cardin, Nick Discepola, Michelle Dockrill, Paul Forseth, Karen Redman and Paul Szabo.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Julie Cusson, Analyst.
Witnesses: As Individual: Randy W. A. Ritchie. From the Alberta Federation of Women United for Families: Hermina Dykxhoorn, Executive Director. As Individual: Heather Gore-Hickman. From the Kids First, Parent Association of Canada: Cathy Perri, President.
Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Finance, dated March 17, 1999, the Sub-Committee resumed its study on Tax Fairness for Canadian Families with Dependent Children.
Randy Ritchie made an opening statement and answered questions.
Hermina Dykshoorn from the Alberta Federation of Women United for Families made an opening statement and answered questions.
Heather Gore-Hickman made an opening statement and answered questions.
Cathy Perri from Kids First, Parent Association of Canada made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 12:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
