The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment met at

3:25 o’clock p.m., this day, in Room 253-D, the Chair, Bob Speller, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: William Blaikie, Scott Brison, Sarmite Bulte, Charlie Penson, Julian Reed, Benoît Sauvageau, Bob Speller.

Acting Members present: John McKay for Robert Nault, Suzanne Tremblay for Benoît Sauvageau.

Other Members present: Bill Graham, Wendy Lill, John Bryden

Pursuant to its Order of Reference from the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade (See Minutes of October 23, 1997 – Meeting No. 4), the Sub-Committee resumed its study of the Multilateral Agreement on Investment.

The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.

At 7:15 o’clock p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
