Wednesday, June 9, 1999

The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 208, West Block, the Chair, Sarmite Bulte, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Sarmite Bulte and Benoît Sauvageau.

Acting Member present: Darrel Stinson for Charlie Penson.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw.

Witnesses: From the University of Michigan Law School: Prof. Robert Howse. As an individual: Howard Mann, Consultant and Trade Lawyer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its examination of Canada's priority interests in the FTAA process. . (See Minutes of Proceedings of May 5, 1998, Meeting No. 18)
